CONSTITUTION:Slag grains are formed in the state of requiring no recrushing, and after the crushing, water is sprayed for at least within about 1-2 days to supply water, thereby wetting these. This is left in a piled state under natural condition for at least 15 days. The slag grain collapsing phenomena occuring during this period are considerable, and thereafter, they decrease gradually. Water is again supplied to the slag grains in the state of virtual completion of the collapsion to keep the grains in a satd. state, and in this state they are maintained for at least 30 days. Thereby, the effect of a sharp decrease in the rate of expansion of the slag material is observed, and the slag of low rates of expansion and good quality is obtained easily.
