Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the automatic perpendicular installation of a leader, by attaching two pieces of angle meter to the leader and exercise simultaneous control over the two back stay cylinders based on the value detected by the angle meters. CONSTITUTION:Angle meters 9 and 10 are provided at the prescribed lower positions of a leader 5 to detect the angles of inclination in the back-forth and right-left directions of the leader 5. These detection signals receive the prescribed operations through arithmetic circuits 21 and 22 respectively. Then the deviation values of back stay cylinders 6 and 7 are calculated to the perpendicular position of the leader 5 to deliver the deviation signals. When these deviation signals exceed the allowance value that is previously set at a blind sector setter 29, the control signals having pulse durations according to the deviation are delivered. These control signals are applied to driving circuits 37-40 that give the contraction/expansion to the cylinders 6 and 7.
