Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve atomization and consumption of fuel even in low load running or the like by providing each one of intake paths and exhaust paths at the same side of an engine while providing an intake heating portion for heating the intake path with exhaust in the exhaust path at the same side.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder head 10 is provided on the same one side of an engine with each one of intake valves 12 and exhaust valves 14 and on the other side of the engine with another intake valve 12 and exhaust valve 14. Each intake valve 12 is connected to intake paths 26, 32 communicating to carbureters 20, 22 and each exhaust valve 14 is connected to exhaust paths 40, 42. Intake heating portions 48, 50 formed with a heating device are provided between aggregates 28, 34 of the intake paths 26, 32 and aggregates 44, 46 of the exhaust paths 40, 42. Further, in the aggregates 44, 46 are provided valves 56, 58 operated to introduce the exhaust to fins 52, 54 in low temperature and discharge directly the exhaust in high temperature without applying it to the fins 52, 54. Thus, the intake paths 26, 32 are heated by the exhaust to promote atomization of mixture.
