Abstract
PURPOSE: An antifouling agent that contains at least one of specific sulfamides as active ingredients, thus showing low toxicity to men and animals, long-lasting antifouling effect and being suitably applied to water lines, fish nets and other purposes.
CONSTITUTION: The objective agent contains sulfamides of formula I [R1WR3 are alkyl, formula II (X is H, methyl, halogen); R4 is polyhalomethyl] such as N,N,N'- trimethyl-N'-trichloromethylthiosulfamide, N,N-diemthyl-N'-phenyl-N'-trichloromethylthiosulfamide. Further, a diluent, a surfactant and other addtivives are added and prepared in the form of emulsion, wettable powder or a coating as a combination of the compound of formula I with coating film-forming materials. These preparations are directly or after diluted, added to water lines or sea water. Or fish nets are dipped in the dispersion. Further, it is coated on ship bottoms, underwater construction, fish nets or cooling-water lines to prevent them from being fouled with weeds and other lives.
