Abstract

PURPOSE:To simultaneously display both KANA (Japanese syllabary) and KANJI (Chinese character), by installing two cursors which indicate both displaying locations of inputted KANA (including Roman letter) and converted KANJI. CONSTITUTION:A mechanism which converts KANA into KANJI, a picture which displays each character, and two cursors which indicate locations of each character are installed. When a KANA inputted through the KANA key is to be corrected, the correction is performed by putting a cursor on the location to be corrected. Also, another cursor is required to correct a KANJI converted through the conversion key, and, therefore, two cursors having different roles are installed. A mechanism which converts KANA into KANJI and another mechanism which displays inputted characters, etc., on the picture are constituted of a CPU, registers, an ROM, an RAM, etc.
