Abstract

PURPOSE: To save energy consumed in a hothouse heating system, by using a heat pump apparatus for heating of a plant cultivating hothose, utilizing steam or the like pumped up from under the ground of the hothouse as a low-temperature heat source, and thereby enabling to make an efficient use of heat energy.
CONSTITUTION: A heat pump apparatus consisting of a condenser 2, evaporator 3, expansion valve 4 and compressor 5 is disposed adjacently of a hothouse 1. The compressor 5 is driven by a diesel engine 6, and radiators 8, 7 disposed inside the house 1 are connected respectively to the engine 6 and condenser 2. Under the ground of hothouse 1, on the other hand, many perforated corrugation pipe 9 are buried at a shallow portion while a perforated pipe 10 is buried at a deep portion. These pipes 9, 10 are connected to a suction pump 11, the outlet side of which is in turn connected to the evaporator 3. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to utilize steam and damp air in the ground as a low-temperature heat source for the evaporator 3 and to thereby make an efficient use of heat energy.
