CONSTITUTION:A connection point of windings phi1-phi4 with the low voltage side power source VL for supplying power to the windings phi1-phi4 of a pulse motor is connected to the high voltage side power source VH by way of a switching element Tr5. A pulse signal (a) from a clock generation circuit 2 is fed to a pulse motor control circuit and a switching element Tr5 through an AND gate G to drive the motor by sequentially turning on or off transistors Tr1-Tr4 with a pulse motor control circuit while the rising of the winding current is quickened by turning on or off the switching element Tr5 synchronizing a drive frequency. The duty ratio of the pulse signal (a) is reduced when the drive frequency is low while increased when it is high.
