Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep flat the discharge operational voltage of an alkaline cell, at high level for long hours, by using the positive electrode compound agent being constituted by adding black lead electric conductive material to the active substance of MnO2 and NiOOH. CONSTITUTION:Electrolytic manganese dioxide 50-80wt%, black lead and a little amount of electrolyte are mixed and granulated, thereafter, the surface of each granule 10 is covered with the compound powder 11 of oxyhydrated nickel 20- 50wt% and black lead. Gained positive electrode compound agent 1 is pressedly filled into a positive electrode vessel 2. Gelled negative electrode 5 is accomodated in the vessel 2 intervening the isolating material 3 of a fine porous nylon membrane which was put on in contact with the face confronting the negative electrode of the compound agent 1 and the elctrolyte preserving material 4 of vinylon nonwoven fiber. Present alkaline cell which uses the compound 1 made by adding black lead to the active substance containing MnO2 50-80wt% and NiOOH 20-50wt% is low cost and superior in its discharge operational voltage characteristics.
