Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a three-dimensional warehouse facility as well as raise the operational efficiency of the facility by connecting two crane rails in adjacent aisles into a U-shaped coupled rail by a curved rail on the entrnace side of inventory.
CONSTITUTION: In a waralhouse facility where bins 1 are aligned in 8 rows, for example, crane rails 4-1 and 4-2 in adjacent first and second crane aisles are connected together by a curved rail 9-1 into a U-shaped coupled rail on the entrance side on the warehouse. Also, the third and fourth crane rails 4-3 and 4-4 are likewise connected together by a curved rail 9-2 into a U-shaped coupled rail. A stacker crane 5 is provided to each of the U-shaped coupled rails, and a home position facility 8 is provided in the face of the turn tops of the curved rails 9-1 and 9-2. In the facility 8, the upper stage may be provided with an incomiig roller conveyer and the lower stage may be provided with an outgoing roller conveyer; i.e., two- stage type incoming and outgoing bin equipment is constructed.
