Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a composite spun yarn in which fibers of finite length are entangled uniformly in a core yarn at a high speed, by providing an air flow zone where the flow velocity of the core yarn is increased to the running direction thereof in a false twisting zone of the core yarn, and introducing opened fibers of finite length into the air flow zone. CONSTITUTION:A fibrous group 3 of finite length is introduced from a suction inlet 9 into an air flow controlling zone 4 forming a tapered path to increase the air flow velocity gradually in the running direction of a fleece 1, conveyed by a twisted yarn together thereon, twisted and mostly collected by the twisted yarn in the air flow controlling zone 4 while being oriented in parallel with the forward direction. The fleece 1 becomes a core yarn in an untwisting zone of false twisting nozzle 5 by the difference in the twisting density, and a composite spun yarn (Y) in which fibers of finite length in the fibrous group 3 are wound around the fleece 1 is obtained.
