Abstract

PURPOSE: A novel copolyamide resin that is composed of a polyamide having a specific recurring unit and polybutadiene or a butadiene copolymer, thus showing low water absorption.
CONSTITUTION: The objective copolymer comprises (A) 99W5pts.wt. of a polyamide having a recurring unit of formula I (n is 5W11) and/or formula II [X is CmH2m (m is 6W12), isophorone, phenylene, cyclohexylene; Y is ClH2l (l is 4W 10; phenylene cyclohexylene)] and (B) 1W95pts. of polybutadiene of 500W10,000 average molecular weight having carboxyl or amino groups on the chain terminals or butadiene copolymer consisting of more than 50wt% of butadiene with styrene or acrylonitrile.
