Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Compounds of formula I [R is 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2,2-dimethylvinyl)-cyclopropyl, 2,2-dimethyl-3-(2,2-dihalogenovinyl)cyclopropyl; R1 is H, cyano, ethynyl, methyl; X is H, halogen].
USE: Insecticide: they are effective against sanitarily harmful insects such as files and mosquitoes. Since they are stabler to light than conventional pyrethroid compounds, they also are used for agricultural and horticultural purpose.
PREPARATION: For example, the reaction of a compound of formula II with another compound of formula III is conducted in a solvent such as benzene at room temperature to 100°C for 1W6hr to give the compound of formula I.
