Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide vaccine for preventing the dog parvoviral infectious disease, by proliferating the dog parvovirus separated from a dog in the cultured cells originated from dog or cat, and inactivating the virus with a chemical agent or ultraviolet radiation.
CONSTITUTION: Dog parvovirus separated from dog is inoculated in the primary cell or established cell originated from the kidney of dog or in the primary or established cell originated from the kidney of cat, and cultured at a normal cultivation temperature (about 37°C) for 5W7 days. At the peak of the growth of the virus, the infected liquid is collected, and the virus is inactivated by reacting a chemical agent such as β-propiolactone or formalin at 30±5°C or irradiating with ultraviolet radiation.
