Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the exfoliation or damage of an electrode and to reduce the cost of raw material, by holding the electrode between a pair of electrode supporters in a sandwich form. CONSTITUTION:An electrode is held between the electrode supporters made of the nonconductive wear-resistant material such as a diamond, etc. and then fixed at the tip of a conductive metallic holder. For instance, a conductive material such as titanium, etc. is sputtered to a cut section 5 of a diamond 4 formed by a hemicylindrical body to form an electrode layer 6. This layer is stacked on another hemicylindrical body into a sandwich form. An electric chip 1 of a cylindrical body thus formed is fitted and bonded to the tip of a metallic holder. As a result, sputtering is possible on the section 5 with a wide area, and the intensity of junction is increased of the electrode to prevent the exfoliation or damage of the electrode. Furthermore, the cost can be reduced for the raw material like the diamond, etc.
