Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to monitor the variation in the insulation resistance of the electrical equipment by measuring the secondary current of each current transformer and comparing the measured result with the average value in the past. CONSTITUTION:The secondary current of instrument current transformers and zero phase current transformers CT1-CTn are sequentially supplied to measuring circuits K1-K3 via switches SW1 and SW2 and measured. Said measuring circuits K1-K3 have different measuring range, and are selected based on the magnitudes of the currents. Thus the accurate test is performed. The measured results are converted in an A/D converter 2 and supplied to a CPU3. The CPU3 compares said value with the average value obtained from the past measured values of each current transformer. When the CPU3 recognizes the abnormal value, it drives a warning device 6 to announce warning. By performing such a test at every specified time by the command of the CPU3, the variation in the insulation resistance which would result the leak can be monitored at all times.
