PURPOSE:To obtain a positive image with high sensitivity by imagewise exposing a composition contg. a Co (III) ammine or amine complex, a specified reducing system, and a specified dioxime compound and by carrying out development with a soln. contg. metallic ion forming a color developing complex together with the dioxime compound. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive and heat sensitive composition contg. a dioxime compound represented by the formula (where each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, aryl or aralkyl, and n is 0-3), a Co (III) ammine or amine complex, and a photoreducing system consisting of quinone which acts as an oxidizing agent when irradiated with light of 400-550nm and of a reducing agent performing a photoinitiatable redox reaction togeter with the oxidizing agent is applied to a support such as a polyester film and dried to manufacture a photosensitive and heat sensitive material. This material is imagewise exposed, heated to about 100 deg.C, and developed with an aqueous soln. contg. ion of NiCl2 or the like forming a color developing complex together with said dioxime compound. Thus, a positive image is easily obtd. with high sensitivity.
