Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent wind-up action of an axle in an equalizer link suspension, by interposing an oil hydraulic lock torque rod, locked when applied a brake or driven backward, between a rear axle housing and car body. CONSTITUTION:In a suspension for a rear front axle 1 in a vehicle, a rear front axle housing 7 is supported to a car body 9 through a torque rod 8 and oil hydraulic torque rod 10. The oil hydraulic lock torque rod 10 is constituted by a cylinder 11, mounted to the car body 9 at not a telescopically moving side, cylinder 12, mounted to the housing 7 at a telescopically moving side, piston rod 13, integrally formed with said cylinder 12, and a valve 14. Then the valve 14 is of such constitution that it opens to maintain a suspension function of the torque rod 10 when not applied a brake and closes to lock movement of the piston rod 13 when applied a brake.
