Abstract

PURPOSE:To join tetrafluoroethylene resin moldings strongly with a fine appearance by interposing a hot melting fluorine-contained resin joiner containing a tetrafluoroethylene resin between the moldings. CONSTITUTION:A hot melting fluorine-contained resin (e.g. tetrafluoroethylene- perfluoroalkyl vinylether copolymer) is blended with 5-25wt% of a tetrafluoroethylene resin and molded to obtain a joiner 1. Then, both joining sections of two sheets of tetrafluoroethylene resin moldings 2 and 2 are cut in a taper to shape the section like V. The joiner 1 is arranged for the joining sections and a hot air of about 600 deg.C is blown to the joining sections and the joiner 1 with an hot air type welder 3 to join the joining sections by burying the joiner into V-shaped cuts on the section melting the joiner. Then, a swelled excess bead is scraped to finish.
