Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform remote maintenance of excellent operability, by connecting a remote console adapter with a simple panel to an information processing equipment and by making it possible that controls equivalent to those through an operation panel can be set from remote places. CONSTITUTION:In a memory device 61, a procedure which interprets and executes designations of data settings and displays to the memory and instruction execution controls, is stored in the form of an instruction. A processor equipment 62 controlls the whole adapter 6 in accordance with the instruction from the device 61, and a line interfacing device 65 interfaces the line to which a remote terminal is connected. Moreover, another interface device 64 which drives and monitors a simple panel 7 is commonly connected through an internal bus. The equipment 62 performs operations which are equivalent to those made by an operation panel 13, from a remote place through the adapter 6 or the remote terminal 2, in accordance with the procedure stored in the device 61, sets an information processing equipment to an optional condition, and performs maintenances.
