Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve high accuracy, by giving the function of discrimination to a position detecting sensor. CONSTITUTION:The displacement of a position is transmitted to a direction discriminator 4 through a position sensor 13 with forward/reverse pulse (a) to forward/ origin direction. The circuit 4 transmits a direction discriminating signal (c) to a programmable input and output circuit 9. On the other hand, the forward/reverse pulse (a) is applied to a frequency divider 5 as a distance measuring pulse (b). The frequency dividing ratio is determined through the operation of a microprocessor (muP)6 and control memory 7 from an input and output circuit 9 by giving selection signal (e) for a frequency dividing ratio. Every time when an interrupting pulse (d) is applied to the muP6 by one shot, the program is jumped to a position detection program in a control program of a control memory 7 through the operation of the muP6. Thus, until the next interrupting pulse (d) comes, the direction discriminating signal (c) is fetched from the input and output circuit 9 for the discrimination of direction and it is compared and collated with the distance data of the recent position number.
