Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a rubber compsn. having excellent scorch resistance, vulcanizing, speed and physical properties at break after vulcanization, by adding a thiazole vulcanization accelerator, a cobalt salt of an org. acid, an N-alkylthiophthalimide and natural resin rosin to a raw rubber.
CONSTITUTION: 0.5W2pts.wt. thiazole vulcanization accelerator (B) such as 2- mercaptobenzothiazole, 0.02W0.8pts.wt. (calculated as Co) cobalt salt of an org. acid (C) such as cobalt stearate, 0.01W1.5pts.wt. N-alkylthiophthalimide (D) of the formula (wherein R is a 1W12C straight-chain or branched alkyl, cycloalkyl), and 0.5W15pts.wt. natural resin rosin (E) having a softening point of 50W100°C and an acid value of 100W250 such as wood rosin, are blended with 100pts.wt. raw rubber (A) such as natural rubber or polyisoprene rubber in such a proportion as to give a weight ratio of component E to component D of 1/5W1/20.
