Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily perform a shrinkage fit on a bearing regardless of its dimensions and shape by expanding the bearing with Joule heating through application of large current under low-voltage and subsequently fitting the bearing into an axial body. CONSTITUTION:A large current under low-voltage generated by a controller 1 is fed to a position of a bearing A by an output current supply cable 2 and subsequently said current is applied to the bearing A through the plural sets of magnet holders 3 attracted to both faces of inner wheels of the bearing A. Since the bearing A is fitted into an axial body after its thermal expansion through heating, shrinkage fit for the bearing A may be easily performed regardless of its dimensions and shape.
