Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which forms sharp images quickly by a high frequency heat fixing method and permits addition of coloring agents of arbitrary colors by containing a partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) having degrees of polymn. and degree of saponification respectively within specific value ranges. CONSTITUTION: A toner for high frequency heat fixing contg. coloring agent (Nigrosine base, carbon black, etc.) with a partially hydrolyzed PVA of 100-300 degrees of polymn. and 10-60% degrees of saponification as a binder is produced. The resultant toner permits high speed fixing of <=several seconds. In case when carbon black is contained, the carbon black per se evolves heat by high frequencies and therefore it is contained at <=10wt% to prevent ignition. In this way, good fixed images are obtained.
