Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled paint having excellent weather resistance and shelf stability, by blending a pearlescent pigment and additives with a vehicle in a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: There is used a pearlescent pigment composed of the plate transparent crystal particles of a micaceous titanium foil. 76W80.6% vehicle such as an acrylic polymer emulsion, 17.4W18.4% pearlescent pigment, 0.78W0.82% plasticizer such as dibutyl phthalate, 1.36W1.44% anti-foaming agent such as "NOPCO", and 1.55W1.65% thickner such as ammonia, are stirred and extended to form a paing which is then enclosed in a tube. The stirring and the extending should not be conducted excessively. The number of revolutions of a stirring machine should be 5 or less. The space between the rollers of a roller machine should be 5W10mm when the machine is operated for the above extending.
