Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the operability and maintenability, by carrying a transmission original along a transparent original mounting stand located on the upper part of a facsimile main body commonly used for transmission and reception and arranged almost horizontally, and carrying recording members in the direction opposite to the original under the original mounting stand. CONSTITUTION:A transparent original mounting stand 24 is fitted to make it open or close fueely and almost horizontally on the device main body, the transmission original 23 on the stand 24 is carried toward the arrow E with carrying rollers 25, 26 and the video information is read in optically with the read-in means 4 supported on the carrier 3. On the other hand, a recording member of roll shape 31 is carried toward the arrowed direction F under the stand 24 and the reception information is recorded with a recording means 8 supported with the carrier 3. Thus, since the original 23 is carried along the stand 24 on the main body, it is not necessary to bend the transmission original greatly, allowing to handle thick and not-ease-of bending originals, and to make easy the confirmation of the carrying state of the original 23 and the recording member 31. Thus, the operability and maintenability can be increased and the space in the device can effectively be used.
