Abstract
PURPOSE:To coat a sleeve surface with toner to uniform thickness without uneveness, by forming a toner application room, separated from the inside of a hopper by a partitioning member and a scraper, in front of a blade in a toner moving direction. CONSTITUTION:An inverted-L-shaped partitioning member 11 pveventing toner weight in a hopper from being applied onto a sleeve is provided in front of a blade 7 in a toner moving direction; and to the lower end of the partitioning member, a scraper 12 is fitted and a toner application room 13 separated from the inside of the hopper is formed over the sleeve by the blade 7, partitioning member and scraper 12. Toner 6 in the hopper 4 is carried according to the rotation of the sleeve 2 and scraped off temporarily by the scraper 12, and the scraped toner enters the toner application room 13 through the hole 14 of the scraper 12. Consequently, a small quantity of toner is stirred well in the application room to apply the toner onto the sleeve surface to uniform thickness without unevenness.
