Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight polyhedral reflecting mirror body which does not cause the formation of sink marks and the deformation of mirror surfaces owing to centrifugal forces by beforehand molding an internal structural body of a polyhedral shape having lightening holes, providing an external molding to this and forming mirror surfaces. CONSTITUTION:An internal structural body 1 made of a synthetic resin is so molded that it has lightening hole parts 4 by a shaft hole 2 and plural pieces of through- holes 3 on the outside circumference thereof, and that six faces of plane parts 6 connecting to the central part via thin walled parts 9 are provided in the outside circumferential part. After this is set in metal molds, an external molding 6 is molded on the circumference thereof as the 2nd molding, after which metal vapor deposition is applied on the plane parts 7, whereby mirror surfaces 8 are formed. Hence, the plural mirror surfaces having no sink marks are obtained because the outside molding 6 is provided to the body 1, and the deformation during high speed revolving is eliminated by making the mirror surface parts relatively thick, thus the entire part is made lighter in weight.
