Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a uniform and minute resin film having a thickness of 1,000Å or less, by applying a low-molecular liquidus resin, which can be solidified by ultraviolet radiation, onto a substrate, just thereafter quantitatively scattering and evaporating a part of the resin, and then radiating ultraviolet rays to the resin.
CONSTITUTION: The substrate 1, e.g. a plastic film, is fed to the coating part 2 of a gravure coater or the like, where a low-molecular liquidus resin, which can be solidified by ultraviolet radiation, is applied onto the substrate 1. The resin-applied substrate 1 is then introduced into a hot blast stove 3. The hot blast stove 3 is arranged in a manner such that temperature-controlled clean air is introduced toward the both surfaces of the resin-applied substrate 1, while its flow rate is being controlled. Circulated hot air is introduced by a fan 4 and discharged by another fan 7. In the hot blast stove 3, 20W90% of the applied resin is quantitatively scattered and evaporated and then ultraviolet rays are radiated from an ultraviolet lamp 10 to cure the resin film. The substrate 1, on which the resin film is formed, is wound by a winder 12.
