CONSTITUTION:When a film cassette 11 is not contained in the cassette accommodation room of a camera, a shielding member 42 having a display of a character E is positioned by the displacement force of a spring 44 to shield a display window 40. Therefore, the E is displayed in the window 40 to show that any cassette is not contained in it. When the cassette 11 is inserted into a cassette accommodation guide, a projecting piece 48 formed on the cassette 11 pushes the member 42 against the displacement force of the spring 44 to release the shielding of the member 42. Therefore, the frame number of a frame-number plate 30 is displayed in the window 40.
