Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a coloring material capable of repeated developing and vanishing color by firmly binding a phthalein indicator to clay. CONSTITUTION:The titled coloring material which is obtained by forming a quaternary ammonium salt of a phthalein indicator introduced dialkylaminomethyl group and then binding to clay by ion-exchange. Dialkylaminomethyl group is introduced to the phthalein indicator by using Mannich reaction or Reimer-Tieman reaction and the indicator is changed to a quaternary ammonium salt by dialkyl surfate or alkyl halide, and after adding clay to the indicator, the mixture is heated and stirred at 30-70 deg.C and bound together by ion-exchange. Thus, the product is obtained after filtering and drying.
