Abstract

CONSTITUTION: In the addition reaction between a 2W30C olefin, preferably diisobutylene or triisobutylene, and maleic anhydride under heating, at least one selected from 2,6-di-t-butyl-4-methylephenol, pentaerythrityl tetrakis[3-(3,5-di-t- butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate], 4,4'-thiobis(3-methyl-6-t-butylphenol) and 2,2'-thiodiethyl bis[3-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propionate] is added to the reaction system.
USE: Lubricant additive, coating dispersant, plasticizer and intermediate of other chemicals.
