Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain heat efficiently from wind force or the like, by disposing rotatable members and a fixed plate in an opposed manner with electrodes being provided on either of the rotatable members and the fixed plate, attracting magnetic powder onto the electrodes, rotating the rotatable members by wind force or the like, and thereby generating frictional heat between the magnetic powder and the surfaces opposed in contact with the same.
CONSTITUTION: When rotatable members 12, 12' are turned via a propeller 13 by wind force, electrodes 3 and magnetic powder 4 are also turned and friction is caused on the surfaces of a fixed plate 21 opposed to the magnetic powder. Resultantly, frictional heat is generated on both surfaces of the fixed plate 21. This frictional heat is taken out to the outside of the system via a heat pipe 51 for supplying the same to a heat demanding place. When the temperature of magnetic powder 4 reaches the Curie point as the turning speed is increased, magnetic powder is released from the electrodes 3 and drops downward. Likewise, this also takes place when the frictional force becomes greater than the magnetic attractive force of electrodes 3. Therefore, by selecting the magnetic force and the Curie point properly, generation of heat can be controlled in a desired manner. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to take out heat effectively from wind force or the like.
