Abstract

PURPOSE: To judge completion of cooking from the patterns of gas and humidity detection, by attaching a sensor for detecting gas and humidity in a duct connected to an exhaust port, selecting an appropriate flow-rate of exhaust gas depending on the types of food to be cooked, and accomplishing detection of the gas and a proper level of humidity.
CONSTITUTION: At the back of an oven box 1, a downward duct 8 which is connected at its upper end to an exhaust port 7 is provided. The duct 8 is formed with a lower outlet 9 in the vicinity of an oil receptacle 11, in the manner that the outlet 9 is directed toward the back for opening the duct 8 to the outside. At a middle portion in the duct 8, a sensor 31 and a fan 32 are arranged. As the sensor 31, a P type semiconductor sensor is used, which can detect both of gas and humidity selectively by turning an indirect heater ON or OFF. In case of detecting gas, humidity 33 and gas emitted from food to be cooked are drawn and discharged forcibly by the fan, and blown onto the sensor 31 functioning as a gas sensor by turning the indirect heater ON. Thus, detection of gas can be accomplished.
