Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for fresh reducing agents and lower running costs by supplying the reducible-material-contg. gas exhausted from a sulfurous acid gas reducing and sulfur recovering device by coal type reducing agents to a denitrating device and utilizing the same as a reducing agent for a denitration process.
CONSTITUTION: The stack gas from a generating source 1 is allowed to contact with the reducible gas formed in a sulfur recovering device 11 in the presence of catalysts in a denitrating device 3, after which it is desulfurized in a dry type desulfurizing device 4, thence it is released as clean gas 5 into the atmosphere. The adsorbent adsorbed SOX is fed to a regenerator 7 through a line 6, and is desorbed. It is next returned to the device 4 through a line 8. Desorbed SO2 is reduced to single S substance by coal 12 in the device 11. Reducing gases such as H2, CO and the like are contained in the stack gas of the device 1. After sulfur is recovered from this gas in the 1st sulfur condenser 14 and the 1st demister, the gas is elevated of temp. by a gas heater 20 and the unreacted SO2 and byproduced H2S are allowed to react in a Claus reactor 23. After the gas is removed of sulfur in the 2nd condenser 23 and the 2nd demister 28, the gas is conducted through a duct 29 and a heater 30 to the device 3.
