Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove clogging in a nozzle and to prevent stream line of ink from disturbance at the start of the ink jet by a method wherein alkaline water is filled at the nozzle part at the end of the ink jet. CONSTITUTION:At the end of the ink jet the alkaline water is filled at the nozzle part. As the alkaline water are used favorably alkanolamine such as triethanolamine, isopropanol-amine, etc. and aqueous solution of alkali hydroxide such as NaOH, KOH, etc. Their pH is preferred to be within the range of 9-11. In this manner, through water vaporizes from the nozzle at the end of jet, deposits can be prevented from partial occurrence and at the start of the next jet, drops of ink can be prevented from disturbance.
