The circuit 11 reads out the data of the corresponding area 3 from a display buffer 8, writes it on the buffer 8 corresponding to the position of a cursor 5 of a display area 2, and also displays it on a CRT10 by a displaying circuit 9. On the other hand, in case a display data of a page selection area 4 has been detected by the pen 6, if a position information is provided to the circuit 11, a corresponding data is read out from the buffer 8, an item group corresponding to its page is read out by a memory circuit 7, and written in the area 3, and a selected item is replaced.
