CONSTITUTION:For electronic editing, switches SW1, SW2, SW4, and SW5 are turned on and switches SW3 and SW6 are turned off to apply a recorded signal from a recorded signal amplifier X3 to general picture recording and reproducing heads A1 and A2, and an erasure signal from an erasure signal amplifier X4 to still and variable-speed reproducing heads B1 and B2. As a result, while the still and variable-speed reproducing heads B1 and B2 perform helical erasure, the picture recording and reproducing heads A1 and A2 record pictures at the same time.
