Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve ease of reading by performing arithmetic processing by the program of an ROM through key inputting, discriminating the number of digits and decimal point position of the results of the operation, rounding the display numerical values to integers if they include decimal, and displaying the same together with unit symbols. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic desk calculator which displays up to 8 digits by ''man'' (10 thousands) of a unit symbol 22 and ''sen'' (thousand) of 23 and from 9 up to 11 digits by ''oku'' (one hundred million) of 21, ''man'' of 24 and ''sen'' of 20, an arithmetic circuit 7 is controlled by the program of an ROM8 through inputting from a keyboard 3. The results of the numerical processing are fed to a register 9 and a flag 10 storing information in correspondence to the unit symbols 20-24, and information is converted by a decoder driver 11 and is displayed 2. At that time, the number of digit and decimal point position of the results of the operation are discriminated, and if any decimal is contained, the figures below the decimal point are discarded by the rightward shifting of the numiercal values to round the numerical values to integers, whereby their display together with unit symbols is made possible, and therefore the ease of reading including the case of only the integers is improved.
