Abstract
PURPOSE: To transport fruits reasonably without giving a shock, by providing a conveyor for sandwiching and conveying the fruits to transfer the fruit after cutting off the pedicel to another conveyor.
CONSTITUTION: The conveyor 1 for fruit and another conveyor 6 for fruit are arranged in parallel in the same level, and above the conveyors the sandwiching device 7 is set. In the fruit pressing process I, the sandwhiching bodies 74 of the sandwiching device are passed above the cutter 4 for cutting off a pedicel while rotating outside of support arms and holding the fruit 2 by the pressing member 9. In the fruit cramping process II, the sandwiching bodies sandwich the with fruit its pedicel cut off and transfer it to another conveyor 6 while rotating inside of the support arms. In the fruit sending out process III, the sandwiching bodies release holding while rotating outside again.
