Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an antivibrating property in the nonoperation of the steering lever of an outboard motor whose steering lever is mounted on a cowling, by providing an antivibrating member between the cowling and the steering lever.
CONSTITUTION: A steering lever 30 comprises a main portion 31 bent as L and a grip portion 32 rotatably attached to the tip of the main portion 31. A stepped cylindrical fitting part 31a is provided on the butt of the main portion 31 of the lever 30 and fitted with a bushing 33 and an antivibrating member 34 in a fitting opening 12a provided in the front left portion of a bottom cowling 12. The antivibrating member 34 is composed of a cylindrical portion 34a and an annular flange 34b. Ribs 341W344 are provided on the inside and outside of the cylindrical portion 34a to heighten the antivibration effect.
