Abstract

PURPOSE:To discharge a residual liquid in a liquid supply path by preparing a switching mechanism where air can be sent in the liquid supply path in an endoscope. CONSTITUTION:A switching mechanism for delivering a liquid and air from an air supply port 8 and a liquid supply port 9 into a air supply path 4 and a liquid supply path 5 in an endoscope comprises a cylinder 15 and a piston 16 having an annular communicating groove 17. In a state where said piston was pushed in halfway, the liquid supply port and the liquid supply path are communicated, and the liquid is sent into the endoscope inserting part.
