Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a precise and simple measurement of a picture on a cathode- ray tube, by a method wherein support plates, provided with a graduated scale, are positioned at the front of a picture indicating surface, and a picture size is measured by means of moving scales movably attached to the graduated scale. CONSTITUTION:A guide recess 11 is formed in a front pannel 6 of a picture indicating surface, and support plates 7 are attached in the recess 11 by means of securing screws 13. Graduated scales 10 are situated on the support pates 7, and two moving scales 8 are movably attached thereon. When a picture is measured by means of a device so constituted, the securing screws 13 are unfastened, and the support plates 7 are fastened by means of the screws 13 after they are adjusted so as to be placed at a given angle. Through the movement of the moving scale 8, a distance l between the moving scales 8 is read from the graduated scale 10. This permits the precise and simple measurement of a picture on a cathode-ray tube.
