Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure a highly efficient and assured cleaning of the dust attaching to the travelling part of a magnetic tape, by winding a cloth tape around a rotatable reel in a cassette case and then exposing the cloth tape out of the cassette case. CONSTITUTION:A cloth tape 22 is wound around a pair of reels 21 in a cassette case 20 having the same shape as a magnetic tape cassette. A cover 20a of the cassette case is turned to expose a part of the tape 22, and the cleansing solution is sufficiently applied to the exposed area. Such cassette is loaded into a video tape recorder or the like. Then a record button is pushed, and thus the tape 22 travels to clean the area where the magnetic tape touches in a highly efficient and assured way.
