Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution and the time set processing, by using a timepiece counter consisting of only binary counters. CONSTITUTION:A display and a timepiece set section 1 are constituted with the display section which can digitally display ''year, month, day, time, minute'' and the timepiece set section consisting of display buffer memories storing the values displayed on the display section. A microprocessor 2 converts the count value of binary code of a timepiece counter 6 to a time to digitally display it to the display section of the display and the watch set section 1, and converts the watch set value set to the timepiece set section 1 of the display and timepiece set section 1 into the count value in binary code of the timepiece counter 6. The clock from a quartz oscillator 3 is inputted to the microprocessor 2 via a frequency divider 4 and inputted to the timepiece counter 6 via a frequency divider 5.
