Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the durability of the functionality improving effect remarkably, by adsobing a compound having an alkylene oxide group to the synthetic molded article, and treating the article with a compound, having the functionality with an active group reactive with the alkylene oxide group, and capable of imparting the functionality to the molded article.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A compound, having one or more alkylene oxide groups expressed by the formula (Z is 1W14C alkyl) in the molecule, e.g. glycidol, in an amount of 0.1W20wt% is adsorbed on a synthetic molded article, preferably polyester fiber. The resultant article is then treated with (B), a compound, having one or more active groups, e.g. OH groups, reactive with the alklene oxide in the molecule, and capable of imparting the functionality, e.g. antistatic or sweat absorbing properties, to the molded article, e.g. glycidic acid, in an amount of 0.05W20wt% based on the molded article particularly by the dipping method, etc. The adsorbed compound (A) is then polymerized with the compound (B) for the after-treatment.
