Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a composition for removal of grease having excellent metal corrosion resistance, by adding a specific amount of 1,3,5-trioxane to methylchloroform. CONSTITUTION:The added amount of 1,3,5-trioxane varies with the use condition of methylchloroform and the stability of mecessary chloroform, but it is preferably 1-6wt%, based on methylchloroform. The corrosion preventing properties of methylchloroform are remarkably improved by the addition of 1,3,5-trioxane and in particular decomposition of chloroform when it is brought into contact with Al or its alloy is prevented by the addition of 1,3,5-trioxane.
