Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable accurate detection of revolution frequency instantaneously by employing a memory into which the number of teeth waveform periodic clocks of an encoder is written with the revolution frequency as an address. CONSTITUTION:The number of teeth waveform periodic clocks of the encoder is written into a PROM1 with the revolution frequency as an address. When the number of the clocks written into the PROM1 concides the actual discrete of clocks with an up/down counter 3 by means of a comparator 2, the address discrete of a down counter 4 forming an address counter for addressing the PROM1 is outputted as revolution frequency via an output register 5 by the coincidence signal, thereby enabling accurate detection of the revolution instantaneously.
