Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid a leakage of X-rays when a resonance capacitor is opened, by installing a switch means with which the DC voltage to be supplied to a deflecting circuit and the high voltage detection voltage of a CRT vary in a forward bias and thus actuating a high voltage limiting circuit in accordance with a change of the above-mentioned voltages. CONSTITUTION:An input terminal 8 at the control part of a high voltage limiting circuit is connected to a high voltage detection winding 2 of an FBT1 of a TV picture receiver via a rectifying diode 3 plus partial voltage resistances 5 and 6. The DC voltage to be supplied to a horizontal oscillating circuit 7 is monitored at the control part 12 of the high voltage limiting circuit to be prevented from becoming more than a prescribed level. A switching circuit S, containing resistances 19 and 20 that divide the high voltage detection voltage V2, resistances 17 and 18 that divide the DC voltage +V3 plus a switching transistor TR22, is provided to the circuit 7. Then an adverse bias is usually given to the voltages +V3 and V2, and the voltages V3 and V2 are changed to an adverse bias when a horizontal resonance capacitor 4 is opened. The control part 12 is controlled by a conduction of the TR22. Thus a leakage of X-rays can be avoided.
