Abstract

PURPOSE: To impart high antistatic properties with good durability to a polyamide film, by coating the polyamide film with polyacrylamide having a specified partial alkaline hydrolysis rate, followed by heat-treating.
CONSTITUTION: A polyamide film (e.g. nylon 6) is coated with polyacrylamide having a partial alkaline hydrolysis rate of 10W40mol%, and then heat-treated at 70W220°C, to modify said polyamide film, the polyamide film so-treated does not suffer from the peeling of a treating agent caused by friction, etc. and has recontamination-inhibiting properties. Moreover, the treated film exhibits excellent antistatic properties with extremely good durability while scarcely causing deterioration of other properties which the film itself has, e.g. hardening of the touch, discoloration, and strength reduction, by the above treatment.
