Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent failure of turning off an electric fan, by providing a means for stopping operation of the fan automatically in case that operation of the fan is continued for a predetermined while after final manipulation of an operation controlling switch is completed. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit for an electric fan of this invention is composed of a power source circuit section 1, motor driving circuit section 2, waveform shaping circuit section 3, reset-signal generating circuit section 4, first control circuit section 5, second control circuit section 6, displaying crcuit section 7, automatic-stop circuit section 8 and a micro computor IC3. The computor IC3 has 28 pins and a ROM capacity of 1k byte and is capable of processing various circuit signals. The control circuit is arranged to be capable of performing timer control, oscillating and intermittent operations, and combined operation of the fan and also to be capable of stopping operation of the fan automatically irrespective of the mode of operation. Further, the control circuit is designed to be capable of changing the time required for the automatic stopping of the fan by means of a variable resistor VR and to be capable of performing timer controlled operation by the steps of 20min independently to a time length of 120min. Therefore, if the automatic stopping means is always kept ready for operation by turning a manual switch SW9 to the side of a contact (a), it is enabled to stop operation of the fan automatically even if the user fails to set the timer.
